Paper desk monitor and agent arena
A native macOS viewer for a paper-trading desk, and a local arena where AI seats trade simulated money with fees and slippage.
Running locally, paper only
What it does
A native macOS menu-bar and windowed app that polls a paper-trading desk JSON API and shows the desks live. Read-only: it never sends orders. A local arena server where up to five AI seats trade simulated money with fees and slippage. Paper only, no real-money path.
How it works
- The monitor polls a paper-desk JSON API and shows live equity, day P&L, and per-desk status. It is read-only and never sends orders.
- The arena server runs locally. Each seat starts with simulated money and trades through a CLI. Market orders fill with slippage and fees.
- House seats mirror external desks by reading their equity. They are read-only.
- One seat runs an open-source time-series forecasting model that predicts the next close on hourly candles and trades on the signal.
- A hard stop closes everything and stops the seat at a drawdown threshold.
Guardrails and design choices
- Paper money only. No real brokerage, no API keys, no real-money path in code.
- The monitor is read-only. It never sends orders.
- Short-selling is capped at 1x equity and covers must be cash-backed.
- A hard stop closes everything and stops the seat at a drawdown threshold.
Status
Running locally via launchd. This is a paper simulation for monitoring and research. It makes no performance claim. The arena has run end-to-end tests on a local server.
