AIOS
A native macOS read-only operating dashboard: ventures, agents, tasks and tools on one screen from a local collector.
Built, v1
What it does
A native macOS window that shows ventures, agents, revenue, tasks, email and tools on one screen. A local collector reads measurable state and writes a snapshot. An optional capped AI summary run produces a morning brief. Read-only: it shows and links out. It never sends, writes, spends, or starts or stops anything.
How it works
- A local collector reads measurable state on the Mac and writes a snapshot.json. It runs on launch, on refresh, and every ten minutes while the window is visible.
- The dashboard renders the snapshot as a local HTML page inside a WebView. No server, no port.
- An optional morning brain run sends a compact digest to one headless model call and writes a brief. It is capped at a fixed cost per run.
- Every string written to the snapshot or brain passes through a redaction filter that replaces credential patterns.
- A file deny list refuses paths that could hold secrets.
Guardrails and design choices
- Read-only. It shows and links out. It never sends, writes, spends, or starts or stops anything.
- Offline. No server, no port. Only the optional morning brain run reaches the internet.
- Zero third-party dependencies. Swift, Python stdlib, vanilla HTML/CSS/JS.
- Every string passes through a redaction filter. A file deny list refuses paths that could hold secrets.
- The brain run uses a read-only tool allowlist and treats email content as untrusted data.
Status
Built. v1 is a universal binary for macOS 15 and later. The collector and brain have test suites. The morning job is opt-in and only runs after an explicit approval with a measured cost.
